So excited! we are goint to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg next week for 5 days. I need a break! Jakes surgery/ recovery has been draining. Yesterday was his first day back at school. I got 3 phone calls....only one today. He's doing well but he just gets very tired being there all day. He sees the surgeon monday.
I've got most of our vacation planned out. Hoping it goes well.
Tess has beenreally challenging lately. Guess its the age. Jake likes to get her all riled up too. She likes to be wild. I prefer when she is calm and acts like a little lady. Lol.

Jake had his hernia surgery this morning. I am so glad that we opted to explore the left side too as he wound up having oneon that side too. So hopefully we saved him a surgery later. The one on the right was larger than expevted but he did great. I am waiting to see him now.
aron took the day off work and is taking Tessa to daycare and then he will join me here.
Hoping the next few days go smoothly, otherwise things here have been good.
I have been exercising regularly and watching what I eat and am feeling good!

| car seats |

Talk to me about car seats. I need to get Tessa a car seat. She has almost outgrown her infant seat and I would like to find something for her to use until she no longer needs a car seat or until I can purchase a backless booster (like around age 6-7). I had a problem and was not able to do this for Jake because he is so tall and I had a really hard time finding a seat with a 5 point harness that would accomodate his long torso. Tessa is seeming to be smaller than Jake was.
So, I've been thinking about a Britax car seat. Which one? Where do I order from??? I was at BRU yesterday and the one I was looking at was 30 more than what I had seen online.
Tessa turned 5 months old on 4/3 and she is 17 pounds and 25+inches

Jake asked me to make him a pair of train jammies for his birthday. Here he is modelling them. It was my first time doing an applique and the first time making pants/using elastic. He was pretty happy with them. I used a Simplicity pattern. It's weird because the pant length was fine (a tad long but fine) but the leg width was WAY too big.

I'm too drained to post too much but Jake was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD (oppositional Defiant Disorder). I am not surprised nor am I upset. I jsut want to learn what to do so I can help him grow into a healthy, strong, boy. He is such a loving little boy and it hurts to see him when he is so wound up and out of control. I'll be back tomorrow or friday to talk more about it |
